Kihachiro Onitsuka

I stumbled across this via an origami related spam email in the studio. I know it's a couple of years old now, but I like it and thought I'd share. Admittedly, I feel the animation (in parts) is a little clunky and not particularly polished, but that just emphasizes the visual style of the film. It is, after all about the "pursuit of perfection" and not perfection itself. It sweetly mixes stop motion and computer animation to tell the story of the Japanese sports brand ASICS in origami.
The Origami campaign won the a Silver for TV at Clio 2008, a Gold for TV and Cinema at the London International Awards 2008, and the Grand Prix for Design at the Eurobest 2008,
